A Trip to Old Stones

18 September – 30 October 2010

A Trip to Old Stones makes reference to Flood-Paddock’s work Sacrifice shown at Swallow St in January this year. Then a reconfiguration of Coatlicue made of board and paper was shown in two rough pieces. Here in Art House Foundation’s garden in London Bridge the work is revisited and made whole.

Are we experiencing the original site of excavation 8 months after it was so crudely halved and shown indoors at Swallow St? Or is this a rebirth, the two sections simply realigning themselves into one towering artefact?
